Born and raised in Los Angeles, Stacie Stukin is a journalist and essayist who writes about travel, design, wellness culture, and food. Her byline has appeared in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, National Geographic, Architectural Digest, W Magazine, Elle Decor, and ART News.

Her book credits include Beauty & Mischief : The Design Alchemy of Blackman Cruz, the Alabama Stitch Book: Contemporary Stories, Lessons and Projects Celebrating Traditional Hand Sewing, Quilting and Embroidery, and a monograph for Richard Manion Architecture.

Most recently, her writer’s coming-of-age essay entitled Brentwood Notebook, appeared in the collection Slouching Towards Los Angeles; Living and Writing in Joan Didion’s Light. Her essay, May It Never Be the Last Brisket appeared in Roost Books' The Cassoulet Saved Our Marriage: True Tales of Food, Family and How We Learn to Eat and paid homage to her mother and Jewish cooking.
